Marching for Justice & Equality Since 1913. The must have T-Shirt for every member!
Just two months after the founding of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, the 22 founders marched in the Women's Suffrage March of 1913. They were not particularly welcomed but were told to march in the back of the parade. Still, they persisted and were determined to march and do their part to affect change. Delta was the only African American women's organization to participate. Honorary member, Mary Church Terrell, who also marched with them said, we are "the only group in this country that has two such huge obstacles to surmount… both sex and race."
When we say "We Are Social Action", we mean it! Social Action is at the very core of why we were founded and who we are!
This item was designed exclusively for the ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
